Engine Design and Technology

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray’s engine was meticulously designed to offer the highest level of performance possible. This engine was designed with direct fuel injection and continuously variable valve timing. As a result of these design decisions, the engine can provide high torque at lower rpm, improved horsepower at higher rpm, and better fuel economy with reduced emissions. The Active Fuel Management™ system works together with the engine to provide more power when needed and to focus on fuel efficiency in lighter driving conditions. As a result, these features can allow for tremendous engine performance.
